Even though I can’t and don’t want to believe it, we are inching ever closer to Betty’s third birthday. In our state (and most other places in the US) it means she is aging out of Early Intervention services and transitioning to preschool. Betty qualifies for two different preschool scenarios, but even after visiting both I’m still feeling really undecided. While I weigh out pros and cons, make my lists, think it over and ultimately figure this out, I’d love for you to help me prepare for my first IEP meeting. It’s coming up quickly.
I’ve done a bunch of research, but I’d love some IEP advice from parents who have been there! Please let me know what you wish you had known before your first IEP meeting, and what your best advice is for a newbie. You can leave a comment here, send me an email, or record your audio answer below (which may be featured on an upcoming episode of BUB).
Thank you for your help! I look forward to hearing from you!
