Hey guys! This has been a big week for BUB. My recent post on my new outlook towards hurtful comments was featured on The Mighty and I released episode #4 on Tuesday. Each episode is a labor of love, but also so fun and kind of therapeutic to put together. I have been getting so many kind and generous comments, but don’t forget that if you really want to support the show, the best way is to subscribe in iTunes and then leave a rating and review there. In fact, I created a new page about exactly what you can do to best support the show. Thank you so much for all of your loving support for this project!
Before I head out for a hopefully-relaxing weekend, here are a few things I want to share:
-This week was the first day of school here. Did you see this video? Poor little guy captures all of the emotions associated with that.
-When there isn’t a great book to explain your child’s differences, why not create your own?
-50% of parents of kids with special needs report their child being bullied at school. That just breaks my heart. Things have got to change.
-One special educator created a website to help parents find the best care for their kids (therapies, etc.) The site was recently re-launched (but is new to me! Anyone out there use it before?)
-A photo series featuring the super powers of special needs kids.
-Madeline Stuart will walk the runway at New York Fashion Week, but most of the press is focusing on the wrong thing.
Have a great weekend!
